Why You Need a Professional Videographer in a Wedding

It is common knowledge that a wedding is a once-in-a-lifetime event for the couples. Years may roll by, seasons change, kids will be born and grow, and the bride may become a grandma. It is common knowledge that a wedding is a once-in-a-lifetime event for the couples. Years may roll by, seasons change, kids will be born and grow, and the bride may become a grandma. But even at that time, if you ask her, she will vividly remember every moment of her wedding, including the small happening of a flower vase falling down from the altar.

This is the magic of human memory. It will never forget anything that has a great impact on it. Yet when narrating the events of the wedding, if there is something handy like a wedding photograph album, it will add pep to the narration largely. Better still, instead of stock-shots of still-photographs, if there is a video recording of the wedding function, the whole function can be “replayed” and can come alive, once again.

In a ceremonial wedding, the bridal party or important members, who have roles to play in the conduct of the wedding function perfectly are – bride; bridgegroom; maid or matron of honor; best man; groomsmen; bridesmaids; junior bridesmaids and groomsmen; mother of the bride; mother of the groom; father of the bride; father of the groom; flower girl; ring bearer; pages (train bearers); officiator; ushers; and very important extras (vies) alternating duties of ushers etc.

All the above persons will be clad in special and costly outfits. No wonder they would be very eager to be shown in the “limelight” through the wedding function, through the video cameras.

Nowadays, videos have become an indispensable part of the wedding celebration, to record each and every second of the whole wedding ceremony. Thanks to the technology advances, more and more sophisticated equipment have come to vogue, to make the wedding video into a great celluloid movie.

The touch of “professionalism” is needed, while shooting the moments from different angles, with different zooming, focusing and capturing techniques. These techniques can not be expected from amateur persons.

Where and how to locate the best of professional videographers? Well – we are living in the internet era. So things are made easier now, than in the olden days, to search extensively and locate professional videographers for wedding (and other functions at your home as well).

In this regard, what should you look for? Check the following aspects:

Visit their website and see what they have to offer
Inspect their previous “works” displayed at their site. The clarity and beauty of those clippings will give you an idea, as to their efficiency and workmanship
Check wherever they have different packages for different work assignments, to suit the budget of the wedding family
Ensure your wedding function can be covered fully and perfectly, without your need to supervise or monitor their crew working at the venue with devotion and involvement
Discuss with their professionals threadbare, as what is your requirement, your expectations and of course your budget etc., so that a mutual understanding is reached beforehand.

Finally, arranging for a professional videographers team will not only capture all the wedding function activities crystal clear, but also reflect in presenting a video disc, with gimmicks and decorations done to each frame, but an enchanting cinema with background music!

The first dance is something that a lot of Brides dream about for years and something Grooms are terrified of, generally.

The tradition comes from years gone by where the Bride and Groom (as it was then) were the guests of honor, and therefore opened proceedings with a dance.

It is no longer necessary for the first dance to be the first action the dance floor sees anymore. Just as well, as in many cases my clients' guests have warmed the dance floor nicely before the guests of honor take the floor together.

Picking the right song can be a headache, most importantly it should be personal to you both. No matter what viral video you have seen or previous wedding you've been too, the moment should stick in your head as a special moment for decades to come, and that is easier if the song is connected to both of you.

HOW TO PICK

One way to help pick the right song is to decide what kind of style you want, do you want a romantic ballad with loads of slow dancing, looking into your partners eyes as your guests look on in admiration. Or would you prefer to have something a bit more fun? Is there a song that you both love to sing your hearts out to? Something with a funky beat that you can swing each other around to, maybe throw in a cheeky moonwalk?

Why not think outside the box? if you both love 90's Dance tunes but are worried it will not fit the occasion, why not look for acoustic covers of your favorite tracks? You can have the tempo slowly build to build into your second song that really kicks the night off!

Of course the song choice is the most important aspect of the First Dance, but do not forget the little details that can make a big difference such as the lighting, what to do with your guests, how you are introduced, getting the perfect picture .

Keep an eye out for future blogs where I will discuss the finer points to make your First Dance a moment to remember.

When it comes to planning, most couples first select a venue for the wedding and then determine where they'll spend their honeymoon. But for some, it's a single decision.

Destination weddings are dramatic, beautiful, and also in some ways, more convenient for the bride and groom. While there is some risk that less guests will be able to come, for some, destination weddings allow a couple to focus more on their wedding and worry less about planning the honeymoon since they will not have to travel again.

But if you do opt for a destination wedding, it's important to select a gown that fits the venue. Princess ball gowns may be gorgeous, but destination weddings, especially beach ones, require more breathable material.

Here's our guide to the perfect gown for your beach ceremony:

1. Ditch heavy material for lightweight fabrics: Heavy material is not only harder to navigate, it's a nightmare for warm, humid weather and sandy terrain. Look for gowns made with crepe, charmeuse, chiffon, or organza. What to avoid? Satin, lots of tulle, taffeta and brocade are generally not great choices.

2. Opt for a detail skirt instead of a long train: As elegant as a long train can be, it can be a big mess on a beach, between the sand and wind. Instead of tripping down the aisle, try to get the same effect instead with an intricately detailed skirt. For a bohemian look, try a netted, sheer illusion skirt.

3. Evoke natural beauty with an elongated neckline: Deep necklines are often flattering, but they're really especially fit for beach weddings. But instead of a strapless or sleeved look, opt for straps. The look is not only perfect for the beach, but it's practical, keeping your dress in place but also great for hot days. Thin spaghetti straps exude a casually elegant look: we love especially paired with an embroidered sweetheart bodice, or beaded trim. For a bustier bride who wants just a little extra support, slightly thicker straps offer that extra coverage but still have that beachy vibe. Tapered embroidered straps or illusion and jeweled, these are both great options.

4. Fitted works too: Think a flow, light skirt is your only option? In fact, fitted trumpet and mermaid gowns are great picks because you will not have to worry so much about the wind. Just make sure you opt for an airy bodice for breath ability. A great example is this ruched bodice ivory trumpet. With a strapless, sweetheart neckline and simple design, it's not much fuss and high on elegance.

Hindu Weddings are the most important aspect as it gives the two people a new beginning to start a life together, therefore every arrangement from wedding DJs to catering must be done with great consideration. The flowers are not only beautiful when decorated to a particular place but are auspicious as well, as they are used in wedding rituals in a form of garlands and are also used during the wedding ceremony for showering upon bride and groom. The flowers in Hindu weddings play a very significant role, as they are used throughout the wedding in abundance. Mandap, as we know is a sacred place where bride and groom take vows from each other for starting their new life together. Floral mandap has emerged out as a popular option in the wedding ceremony. The mandap, when decorated with a blend of ribbons drapes and colorful and fresh flowers, can make the setup look awestruck for the guests. Below below are the few tips that will help in selecting the ideal mandap with ease.

Size of the Mandap

Before hiring any floral wedding altar, it is important to look at the size requirements of it as well. The place where the setup is going to be installed should be measured so that last minute adjustment problem does not arise and the ceremony can be continued with ease.

Lighting or Decoration

Alone the floral themes altar will not look convincing to the guest, as it should have a blend of colorful ribbons and some well-chosen led lights aligned in a proportion, to let the bride and groom be the center of attraction for the guests. There are various types of lights present in the market that provides more than just illumination and helps in turning the entire setup to be beautiful.

Strong and Robust Setup

The altar will absolutely have quite a few people and therefore it is very important to select a setup that is strong enough to hold bride, groom and their close family members with ease. The material that can withstand the weight of people should be considered to make the day memorable for the guests. Along with Bollywood DJs selection, there are other hundreds of arrangements that are to be considered. Wedding only happens once and to make them special, arrangements for altar or mandap hire should be done after sheer understanding and judgment of the factors. It is important to opt for a provider who just not only delivers services but understands the beauty and importance of the ceremonies like the wedding as well.

Weddings are a celebration of love that starts the moment the event dates are finalized. At traditional Hindu weddings, the families of the bride and the groom start preparations for the big day to incorporate the richness of their cultural heritage and put a touch of modernity as well. And this is identical everywhere- from the bride's outfit, the fineries and decorations to the pre and post wedding rituals. Music, which is considered as the most important means of making a wedding ceremony memorable, too has shifted from the traditional path. This is why more and more Bollywood live performing bands in India are experimenting with their performing styles for the different rituals, customs, and norms of the Hindu wedding.

For the stretched-out Hindu weddings, here are three stages to plan the perfect music-

  • Plan, plan and plan! – Irrespective of religious beliefs, all weddings are grand matters that last for several days at a stretch. As a befitting companion to the Hindu marriage ceremonies which observe maximum rituals, music has to be planned separately for each individual phase. According to one popular Bollywood live performing band, wedding planners chalk out the rituals in details from morning to night, through the event and plan music accordingly.
  • Rituals are important. – Once the music is planned for every important celebration, like the sangeet night, tilak, wedding day, vidai, reception day, etc. it is time for micro-level planning as in Hindu weddings, several rituals are held in a single day and one must play relevant music for each such ritual. For instance, as once related by a reputed Bollywood live performing band, it would be inappropriate if the music is too loud and punk-based that it overshadows the diverse shades of emotions witnessed at the time of vidai. This is why professional singers for marriage reception and other wedding events are more in demand. Years of experience make these Bollywood live performing bands understand the essence of the wedding rituals of different religions and perform the choicest music to please the audience.
  • Hire the right band. – Inviting popular Bollywood to live performing band has become a craze in present times. To go with the flow, many modern brides and grooms are queuing up to book the music bands of their choice months before their wedding date is scheduled.

Since songs and dance sequences are an integral part of the weddings, which also adds much to the grandeur, it is better to plan the music ahead of the event. This would not only make the organizers stress-free, but guests of all ages will also be able to enjoy to their fullest. On the whole, music completes the Hindu weddings, so special attention must be paid to its arrangements

The bride is always the center of attraction in any wedding and the wedding dress the major highlight. The truth is that as a bride you will be remembered as much as your gown is and you there before want to be stunning on your big day. Weddings are happy events that bring lots of excitement, especially for a newly wed couple. With so many gown options and designers out there, it really can not be that hard to look beautiful. Below are a few simple but very helpful tips that will ensure you look glamorous in your gown on your wedding day.

Tip 1 – Choose comfort before anything else

You will be wearing your gown for the most part of the ceremony and you need to be at your most comfortable. A comfortable bride is a happy and beautiful bride. As far as comfort goes, the fabric that you select take center stage. Different bridal fabrics are suitable for different gown styles and will give different levels of comfort. It is also important to remember that whereas some fabrics are best for spring weddings, others will make the best choices for summer whereas others are suitable for any given season. Make sure you know all about the fabric options and select accordingly with comfort on your mind above everything else.

Tip 2 – Go for embroidered gown

Wedding dress styles are numerous, but unlike back in the days when plain solid colors were in the thing, you can choose a fancy embroidered gown to stand out on your big day. Sequins, beads and silky threads can all be used for the embroidery to give different looks and feels to the gown and you can have them down in a style that works for your body shape. You can make the work easier by choosing embroidered bridal fabrics that are decorated partly or all-over depending on your personal preferences. You can also decide to go with bridal lace fabrics that are also embroidered to look gorgeous.

Tip 3 – Choose the perfect neckline for your body type

Just like choosing any other outfit, your body type should guide you to the best. The neckline is one of the major areas that you need to pay attention to if at all you are to get a dress that works for you. When it comes to wedding gowns, the most beautiful necklines are off shoulder, high neck and deep V necklines. What suits one body type may not be as flattering for the other. For instance, apple shaped women look very good in deep V-necklines over the high necked ones. Know your body type first and what neck style suits it best and then make the right decision.

Tip 4 – Play with the color a little

Whereas white still makes the most popular and traditional color for the wedding gown you can still stand out by adding a little color to your gown. Other bridal colors that you can pull off gorgeously are celestial blue, rose pink, ivory and champagne.

Scouting for an amazing disc jockey (DJ) for your wedding is not a stroll in the park since there are many things to put into consideration. However, before booking that DJ, he must be able to provide appropriate answers to the following questions in order to prove his competence.

1. Are you a full-time DJ?

It is important for you to know that the DJ you want to hire is not just a one-dimensional part timer who may not owe enough time to the job. He must be involved on a full-time basis with quality experience that cuts across various events. He must be a true performer that can handle tough audiences without stress and satisfy them.

2. How do you treat song requests?

You should engage a DJ that understands how to strike a balance between couple's song requests and those of the guests so that both parties are adequately satisfied.

3. How do you customize the music experience for each couple?

He should be able to provide a soundtrack for your wedding which is dependent on your taste, style and vision for the day. He should be able to willingly accept your must-play and do-not-play lists because you are supposed to be in control of the music that will be played on that day.

4. Can I hear some samples of mixing and blending of different tracks?

He should be able to blend between songs harmoniously to the point that you may not even be aware of it. There should not be artless silence between songs as this will make your party to be boring.

5. What sound equipment do you work with? Do you have back-up?

The equipment that a DJ makes use of is as important as musical instruments. His turntable, microphone, mixer, computer, etc., must be up-to-date in order to reel out the best mix for your party. It is also important to have back-up equipment to guard against unforeseen circumstances.

6. How do you get the crowd pumped?

DJs have a lot of baits to encourage guests to take on the dance floor. You can request for a video of past performances in order to gauge the skills of the DJ you want to hire in entertaining guests.

7. Why should I choose you as my wedding DJ?

Providing a satisfactory answer to this question will go a long way to prove that you are about to hire a competent DJ. He should be able to tell you what makes him unique in the industry and this will assist you in making a vital decision that will make your wedding successful.

Finding The Right DJ For Your Wedding Reception

Your wedding reception is the most important part of your wedding day and it is very important to make necessary provision for it especially as it relates to music. A disc jockey (DJ) is an essential part of your reception and finding the right one may be complicated. But since you are reading this piece, you now have help at your fingertips if you can read on.

It is vital to choose the right DJ because if you choose the wrong one, the day may be ruined. A lot of people prefer a DJ to a live band because it is cost-effective and easy to deal with one. There are many of them in your locality and they range from casual guys to professional ones. Professional jockeys are adequately equipped and will even come to your party with their lighting and other vital equipment.

Pricing varies depending on the quality of the DJ you want to hire and the equipment he possesses. It is very important to avoid exceptionally cheap service so that you do not regret at the end of the day. You should know that to get quality, you should be ready to pay for it.

Furthermore, your primary focus should be on the experience of the DJ, especially wedding experience and the person with the most experience should be your choice. A professional, experienced wedding DJ will be accredited to the nitty-gritty of receptions, the tradition, how to be the master of the ceremony, how to make guests happy and dancing, etc. If anything goes wrong in the party, the DJ will be able to get guests entertained to the point that they will not even notice the hitch.

One way of getting the best DJ is to ask around, very close to the venue. You may be directed to someone who has done many weddings in the locality. Somebody who knows the venue and has done many works there will be in the best position to run things smoothly. If you want your wedding to be the talk-of-the-town, you need to give attention to little things in order to make it unique. A typical wedding can be predictable but the following tips will make your own to stand out among the crowd.

You can give a little bit of information about your bridal train instead of just listing their names in your wedding program. You can also hang your dress on a silk coat hanger so that the photograph of the dress can be taken by guests before you put it on. It is also cool to provide tissues in the rows where families will be so so that they can use them for their “tears of joy”.

Another way to make your wedding unique is to read your vows to candlelight. You can arrange for your guests to get a candle each on their entrance to the venue. As soon as it is time for the vows, you can ask your ushers to light the candles at the end of the row and ask them to pass the flame around.

In addition, you can provide a video confessional booth at the venue where guests can confess their sins and also make wishes. In addition to the ceremony ushers, you can deploy reception ushers because of some stubborn guests that may come to your party. You can also ride in a magical hot air balloon if there is a need for you to shuttle between the ceremony and reception venues.

The groom can also be blindfolded so that the first thing he sees at the ceremony is the bride in full regalia. A face painting booth can also be a wonderful addition to the venue and this will definitely add color as well as fun to your wedding.

You can also borrow the idea of a basket of flip-flops for dancing. An empty basket is labeled 'air guitars' and it is passed round so that guests can mime that they are taking an ax out of it to jam with when your best rock song is played.

Creating an official hash tag for your wedding is an exceptional idea. Your guests will take pictures at the event, hence, you should make sure that the hash tag is visible for everyone to see so that it can become trending in good time. After the wedding, you can just search for the hash tag to see more pictures from various angles.
